Wallie the Imp is very fond of hats. Especially top hats.
Me and my Friend bought him a top hat as a treat. Sadly, we forgot that he is very small.
Nonetheless, Wallie was determined to have a top hat. So we visited my old high school English teacher, who likes to make little toys and things in his spare time. It’s amazing the things some people can do that you would never guess.
My teacher made Wallie a hat that fits just right.
“Conceited little fellow, isn’t he?” said my teacher.
Wallie frowned hard at this. He doesn’t like to be told he is vain, even though he is, a little.
“Well, I don’t blame you,” my teacher went on in his usual mild way. “However you still aren’t properly dressed. Wait a minute and I’ll see what I can do.”
It turns out getting Wallie a top hat was not a bad idea in and of itself—but introducing him to my teacher was a terrible mistake.
Hello, Mr. Hyde.
