The Second Rainbow (128 Words)
Annie saw the two rainbows on her way home from school and knew what she had to do.
She ran as fast as she could to get to the end of one. She got there just as soon as it was going away.
“Oh no!” she said. “Don’t go! I need you!”
“What do you need me for?” asked the rainbow.
Annie hadn’t expected it to answer. “I want a pot of gold,” she said.
“I don’t have any gold for you,” said the rainbow. “I am not the true rainbow, but its twin.”
Amy wiped her eyes. “If I chase the right rainbow next time, will I get the pot?”
“Between the two of us,” said the rainbow. “My sister is a terrible liar.”

Wallie and I wrote this fic in response to the Daily Post’s Daily Prompt, “Shock,” and the FFfAW Challenge’s photo prompt.
Poor Annie! Seems she won’t ever get that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with one rainbow not being the real rainbow and the real rainbow being a liar! Great story! Welcome to you and Wallie to the FFfAW challenge! We are happy you have joined us.

You actually make it seem really easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be actually something that I believe I would by no means understand. It seems too complicated and extremely large for me. I’m having a look forward on your next post, I’ll attempt to get the cling of it!

Wallie is a very confused little imp, I know. I wouldn’t give him the credit of being “complicated,” but I won’t tell him that. Thank you for reading. 🙂
