The Escalator (48 Words)
As humans, we want to assume that any extraterrestrial life form will be more technologically advanced than ourselves.
That isn’t always the case.
Seeing my ET companion’s eyes on the escalator, I saw my own childhood fear—and I knew this was going to be a long trip.
