Pegasus (99 Words)
“Are you scared?”
“Of course I’m scared,” said Juniper. “The—the sky is high and I’m not very tall!”
The Pegasus did not look impressed. Horses are not often sympathetic to their riders’ plights, and flying horses are no different. Sucking in a breath Juniper was sure was her last, she climbed on her friend’s back.
The blue morning was startled by a whoop. The rabbits in the garden took to their holes and the gardener, old Mrs. Shoemaker, shaded her eyes with a suffering sigh.
“You’re going to get sunburned!” she yelled. “You forgot your lotion, silly girl!”

Your stories express both whimsy and realism in balance. I enjoy your writing and the influence of an imp as a muse.
