Banners Fly (107 Words)
I like to see a banner fly
Proud beneath the unfurled sky
Yet all its show can’t match the glow
In my dear’s dark and shining eye.
The mountains rise, the mountains fall
The rivers run, the seasons crawl
And all their flare cannot compare
To that familiar homeward call.
Home is where the moon is bright
When you are watching in the night
No home have I in earth or sky
But what is wondrous in your sight.
Seasons pass, the mountains grow
The weeks are fast, the days are slow
But by God’s grace I see your face
There is no time within that glow.
